The porcelain insulators are investigated with the high voltage transmission line in outdoor condition. MATLAB finite element simulation used here to test performance of porcelain. PDE software is helpful modelling insulator two dimensional. pollution layer assumed be uniform. demonstrates electric field and potential distribution insulator. have higher near line. results represented as graphs. 2017b comes preinstalled tool.
